We’re led by former White House-appointed attorney Bill Nettles and his team. During his tenure as U.S. Attorney, Bill’s office brought the state of South Carolina to top four in the country for whistleblower recoveries.1
Our goal is to stamp out corporate greed, while protecting those who do their patriotic duty by blowing the whistle. We have decades of combined experience in whistleblower claims and know what makes a good case. This experience helps us try to minimize your risks.
We won’t take on your case unless we are confident that advising you to move forward is the best course of action for you. That’s how we’ve approached all our clients.
Each of our attorneys has knowledge, experience, compassion, and tremendous
skill. Learn more about each of their credentials on their bio pages:

Carolina Whistleblower Attorneys is a joint venture between the Bill Nettles Law Firm and the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, one of the largest firms in North Carolina. While we live in the Carolinas, we practice nationwide. That means we have the resources and reach to help you with your whistleblower case and concerns anywhere in North Carolina, South Carolina, across the country, and even internationally.**
Most attorneys have never worked a qui tam case to conclusion. We have a full team of experienced attorneys and support staff to work on your case. Many of our attorneys have won awards, authored books and articles, and are sought after by the media for their insight and analysis.
We are led by Bill Nettles, former U.S. Attorney for South Carolina who made false claims a cornerstone of enforcement during his tenure. When he started our team, he brought with him an Assistant U.S. Attorney with decades of whistleblower experience, Fran Trapp. Because of our extensive experience working for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, we know how to approach one of the most critical elements of the whistleblower process: the presentation of your case to the government.
We’ve represented dozens of qui tam whistleblowers, with tens of millions of dollars in total settlements since 2016. Bill and Fran are responsible for helping the government recover over $307 million in fraudulently-obtained funds during their tenures at the U.S. Attorney’s Office.1,4
We have the financial and technological resources necessary to invest in and try to strengthen your case. And we have a passionate, talented team who knows how to use those resources to put you first.
Your reward can be up to 30% of the government’s recovery. If we’re not successful in getting you a reward, we don’t collect a fee from you. Guaranteed.2
